Goodlinens Towels

What are Goodlinens towels made from?

All of our towels are made from 100% Lithuanian linen.

Linen towels are made from linen yarns, crafted from flax plant fibers. These resilient fibers are then expertly woven into our in-house fabrics, forming the foundation for all our stunning designs. Flax fibers are known for their strength, durability, and absorbency, making linen towels the perfect choice for bath, kitchen, and beach use.

Once you've experienced the comfort and performance of linen, you'll find it hard to go back to traditional cotton terry towels. Don’t just take our word for it! Explore reviews from countless satisfied customers who have made the switch to linen and never looked back.

Why are linen towels better than cotton?

Linen towels boast a seemingly endless list of benefits, rivalling cotton time and time again. Here are a few of the biggest differences:

Durability: Flax fibres are notoriously durable and stronger than cotton. This means our linen towels will outlive their cotton counterparts - saving you money and waste.

Drying time: Linen fabric is super fast-drying, making it perfect for frequent use and life on the go.

Size and weight: Say goodbye to bulky towels that take up unnecessary room in your linen closet, backpack, gym bag, and washing machine. Our towels are lightweight, compact, and designed to elevate your daily routines.

Sustainability: From its water-saving farming and chemical-free production to its use in your home, linen outweighs cotton on all counts of sustainability. Embrace mindful living with Goodlinens towels.

How should I launder my linen towels?

Some of our towels arrive prewashed but all will benefit from an initial wash before their first use to make them even softer and more absorbent.

Linen towels are super durable and will survive years of frequent washing and drying. They can be washed warm or cold and, as they take up less space in the machine, you can wash your towels with the rest of your laundry. We recommend using an eco-friendly detergent as harsh chemicals can damage the flax fibers. Our towels will get softer with each wash and prefer to be laundered without fabric conditioners.

Linen towels dry much faster than cotton terry. Dry naturally for best results or add to the dryer with the rest of your laundry.

Are linen towels lint-free?

Looking for a sustainable alternative to your lint-free microfibre towels? Linen fibres don’t break down in the same way as cotton, making them lint-free - especially after the first wash.

Are linen towels good for the skin?

Linen towels are hypoallergenic, chemical-free, antibacterial, and soft yet lightly exfoliating. No matter your skin type, Goodlinens is an excellent choice for soft, comfortable skin.

Are linen towels good for curly hair?

The texture of cotton terry towels can be abrasive and damaging to any hair texture, especially curly hair.

Often those with curly hair texture opt for micro-fibre towels, however, these synthetic materials can cause static and frizz.

Linen’s natural fibers reduce friction to help maintain the hair's smoothness. This means less hair breakage and healthier, more manageable locks.

We've even made a linen towel the perfect size for wrapping up your curls.

Are linen towels worth the price?

While linen towels might have a higher upfront cost, their longevity means they don't need to be replaced as frequently as cotton towels, providing better value over time. They also provide a whole range of other benefits - like their style, versatility, practicality, and sustainability.
